Are your kids counting down the days until summer vacation? Of course, moms know that there’s a direct correlation between school’s end and the increase in the usage of the word bored. Not this year! The Duluth area has a plethora of amazing camp opportunities for kids of all ages and abilities. We’ve put together a guide so you can find the right camp fit for your young adventurers.

Marshall School Train Your Brain Summer Camps

Keep your kids’ synapses firing all summer long by sending them to one or more of Marshall School’s Train Your Brain day camps. Families and students can choose between all-day camps and half-day enrichment classes. Each camp or class offers students hands-on challenges that encourage creative problem solving, teamwork, and innovation. Camps are for all children from all schools entering grades 3 through 8 and include areas of study like robotics, engineering, aviation, art, science, music and more to keep attendees on their toes and using their brains. There is something for everyone and students will love hands-on learning via experiments and creative planning.

Wolf Ridge Summer Camps and Trips

Experience the kind of adventures you’ll want to come back to year after year. At Wolf Ridge’s 2000-acre campus between Lake Superior and the Boundary Waters, you and your camp friends will share the increasingly rare opportunity to experience nature up-close every day. The trees, animals, lakes, rivers, wetlands, and sunsets will change before your eyes. So will you. Because at Wolf Ridge, learning is the greatest adventure there is. Covenant Park Bible Camp

Covenant Park has a variety of summer youth day and overnight camps for kids entering 1st grade to recent high school grads. We offer a rustic Christian camp experience where kids are invited and encouraged to build relationships with each other and discover Jesus’ love for them. Each day is filled with swimming, field games, crafts, skits, chapels with fun music and engaging speakers, bonding with the cabin group, team building initiatives, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, gaga ball, canteen, learning new skills and activities and much more. We also offer specialty weeks, like Adventure Camp and Music, Art and Drama Camp.

Little Yellowjackets Summer Camps

With a large selection of three- and five-day camp themes to choose from, the UW-Superior Little Yellowjackets program has something for everyone. Kids will love visiting the planetarium during science camp, exploring the great outdoors at Pattison State Park, or beating the summer heat while getting wet n’ wild during water fun week. Camp sessions are jam-packed with games, discovery, exercise, and field trip fun. The Little Yellowjackets program runs all summer long and each session can be accompanied with early drop off and late pick up options. Register and pay before May 19th for a discount when you bundle three camp sessions.

Lake Superior Youth Chorus Summer Sing

Discover your voice at Lake Superior Youth Chorus’ Summer Sing, July 31st-August 3rd! This annual day camp is open to singers entering grades 3-6 in the fall. Any student who loves to sing is invited to participate in this fun-filled week of singing, music fundamentals, movement, and other activities. The experience concludes with an informal concert on Thursday afternoon. All Summer Sing participants will receive an LSYC water bottle, t-shirt, and tote bag. Lunch and snacks provided daily.
