I am SO excited to write about this amazing, FREE event right here in the Northland. Art in Me is a fun-filled, family-friendly event held on Sunday, August 13th in two different locations in St. Louis County: Lester Park and the Fredenberg Township. Art in Me is an all-day festival filled with artistic experiences that encourage children to engage in creative activities like leather working, sewing, print making, drawing, cookie decorating, sculpture, photography, painting projects and live art demo’s, music, and more. There is something to appeal to every age and skill level.

Volunteers help kids try out musical instruments

Art in Me started in 2008 between a partnership with Duluth and Beyond and Anchor Point Community Church. This year marks the ninth annual season of Art in Me, and the event has grown exponentially since its inception. Last year, over  1,400 people attended and the festival featured over fourteen different creative booths. Along with the volunteer-led art booths and take-home art projects, the Art in Me festival provides free, all-day live entertainment featuring puppet shows, music, and live-action characters.
